Importing Your Hardware

Importing Your Hardware

When to Use This Guide

You need to add physical GPUs from vendor platforms into your Silicon dashboard.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • ✅ Active vendor account (RunPod, Vast, etc.)
  • ✅ API credentials from vendor
  • ✅ GPUs deployed and running on vendor platform

Steps

1. Navigate to Vendor Settings

Go to Hardware > Settings tab in the Provider Dashboard.

2. Add Your Vendor

  1. Click "Add vendor"
  2. Select your vendor from the list:
    • RunPod
    • Vast
    • Akash
    • TensorDock
    • Shadeform

3. Configure Connection

  1. Enter your API credentials
  2. Configure sync preferences:
    • Sync frequency
    • Start date for historical data
  3. Click "Start sync"
⚠️

Store your API credentials securely. They provide full access to your vendor account.

4. Monitor Sync Status

After initiating the sync:

  1. Watch the Vendors table for sync progress
  2. Check the "Synced to" column for the most recent data timestamp
  3. Verify "Next sync" shows the expected time

Initial sync may take several minutes depending on your GPU count and historical data range.

5. Activate Servers

Once sync completes:

  1. Go to Hardware > Servers tab
  2. Find your newly imported servers in the activation list
  3. Review server details:
    • Vendor name
    • Machine ID
    • GPU count
    • Tokenization status
  4. Toggle "Active" for servers you want available for GPU pairing
⚠️

Only activate servers with GPUs you intend to tokenize. Deactivating later will unpair any related NFTs.

What Happens Next

Your activated servers and their GPUs now appear in Hardware > GPUs tab, ready for NFT pairing.

Troubleshooting

Sync Fails to Start

Check:

  • API credentials are correct and not expired
  • Vendor platform is operational
  • API key has proper permissions

Action: Re-enter credentials and retry sync.

Sync Interrupts Mid-Process

You'll see an alert: "Vendor syncing has been interrupted"

Action:

  1. Click "Fix sync issues" for detailed error information
  2. Review the error message
  3. Common causes:
    • API rate limiting
    • Network connectivity issues
    • Vendor platform maintenance
  4. Wait 5 minutes and retry sync

GPUs Not Appearing After Sync

Check:

  1. Verify sync completed successfully (check "Synced to" timestamp)
  2. Confirm servers are Active in Hardware > Servers
  3. Check vendor platform to ensure GPUs are deployed

Action: If GPUs still don't appear, contact support with your vendor name and sync timestamp.

Best Practices

  • Sync daily: Set up automatic daily syncs to keep data current
  • Activate strategically: Only activate servers with GPUs generating earnings
  • Monitor sync health: Check sync status weekly to catch API issues early
  • Rotate API keys: Update vendor API credentials quarterly for security
